What: Working Party #2 of 2
When: 21st/22nd March

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

This is the second and final working bee, and on this coming Saturday and Sunday. The long-term weather forecast looks good. So we are looking for a good turn out! As we all know many hands make light work.

We are meeting at 9am on Saturday at the Top of Bruce and then we walk up the hill from there. Or if you have keys you could pop up to the hut on Friday night.

We have two 4×4 vehicles with DOC permits, which will drive up to Hut Flat. These will be taking all stores and ovens up to the lodge and removing old construction materials on the way down.

Please bring a back pack as we will have to carry a few items from the 4×4’s across Hut Flat to the Lodge.

If you are attending, can you please reconfirm by hitting the RSVP button above or below to email the committee at committee@wssc.co.nz

• So we can organise some catering.
• let us know if you are staying overnight.
• We may also be able to help coordinate ride sharing if required.
• Please let us know if you can take people.
• Also, bring your bedding if you are staying over at the hut.

We have some general hut maintenance such as shipping up all the dry stores, cleaning, painting, installing new ovens, planning chimney set up (false roof), removal of old construction materials, and removal of old ovens.

Detailed planning for new kitchen sink, new showers in men’s bathroom, new carpet measurements etc. Remember to bring “old work clothes and work gloves”.

The second working bee will be led by Bill Nichol, Gus McIntosh and Gordy Horsley.  Thanks to you all in advance.

If you have any questions or need more information please call Bill Nichol 021 390 480 or Gordy Horsley on 027 431 6348
